Camp Location

Camp Ziekenzorg was located in the Ziekenzorg hospital, in the western part of Soerakarta. Beside the hospi­tal were barracks which housed Boemikamp (see the map of the Soerakarta centre).  Both camps together were known as Camp Solo. Boemikamp was originally a relief camp for destitute women and children. From November 1944, Boemi­kamp merged with Zieken­zorg.
