Camp Location

The “De Wijk” (“The District”) internment camp was in the so-called Bergenbuurt neighborhood in the north-west of Malang, and consisted of villas, houses and some bungalows. A church was established in the Masonic Hall. The entrance gate on Goentoerweg (street) was called Goentoerpoort.
